Greetings friend. The name’s Jason and I’m a digital artist and web developer living in sunny Orlando, Florida.

This site is a hybrid of ideas. I use it to share my non-professional work, which is mostly composed of mid-century modern inspired digital illustrations. Yet most of my content, to date, has been my blog posts featuring actual vintage advertising art and write-ups on various things that appeal to me. You know what they say. “Come for the art, stay for the mildly humorous commentary about the 1976 Sears Wishbook toy section.”

I’m a vintage pop-culture fan, interested in old movies, retro sci-fi, drive-in movie theaters, tiki bars, pinup girls, neon signs, retail archaeology, and Googie-Futurism. Most of my art is digital, created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, though on a few occasions, I’ve painting along with Bob Ross.

I used to operate Toyshopgreetings.com. That was my primary blog, where I posted about my other obscure retro interests. In October 2013, I transferred all of that content to this site. It was time to have a site with a more identifiable name, where people interested in my art could find me.

I’ve operated a number of other websites over the past 20 years, including atomicmartiniproductions.com and remagine.com. Both of those domains are in other people’s hands now but I remember them with fondness. I was also a founding member of the online Disney community, Triple Dub Club Cyberneighborhood.

If you’re interested in hiring me to work on freelance illustration or design, let me know. I’m always interested in discussing a project. Use the Contact page to send me a message. Also be sure to checkout my Facebook Page. I also have an artist profile on Modelmayhem.com.

If you’ve been coming here since my site went online way back in 2012, first of all, thank you! Second of all, I apologize. jetpackjason has had a very inconsistent history. The content’s been up for most of that time, but there have been periods of very scarce updates. It’s 2019 as I write these updates. As of now, those dry days are over. I hope you’ll pop in now and again to see what I’ve got cookin’.
